Boss of the Sauce 2010

The doors opened at 5pm, so we thought getting there by 5:30 would be early enough to beat the crowd, but the line was about 50 yards down the boardwalk from the entrance of Jenkinson’s.  It moved fast, we were inside in about a half hour.  The place was packed with people sampling some great food from all around the Jersey Shore.

Packed house at Jenk's for Boss of the Sauce 2010

Our favorites were the sweet and tangy sauce from Rella’s on Union Ave in Brielle and the tasty Gnocchi with Bolognese from Fresca on Ocean Ave in Point Pleasant Beach.  We sampled lots more, but Melanie and I ended the day with one of us voting for Rella’s and the other for Fresca as our favorite for 105.7 The Hawk’s Boss of the Sauce 2010.

It was a great way to spend an early Springtime weeknight.   Lot’s of delicious food, live bands and a great spot at the Jersey Shore.

The voting is in for the People’s Choice for Boss of the Sauce 2010. Congratulation’s to Frattello’s at The Plaza in Sea Girt!

  1. My vote went to Fresca Restaurant, for their Gnocchi & Sausage in a delightful Vodka sauce!
