Fun and Sun Schedule of Events for Labor Day Weekend 2010

Here’s what’s happening at the Jersey Shore on Labor Day Weekend:


September 4th and 5th, 2010. BBQ and Craft Beer Festival at Monmouth Park.  Enjoy your first taste of Beach Haus Classic American Pilsner, as well as other craft and specialty brews.  Come out for a fun day of Beer, BBQ and races at the park.  Entry into the beer garden is $10.  Tickets will be sold at the entrance. Get directions and details at the Monmouth Park events website.

Ocean Grove

September 4th, 2010. Ocean Grove Giant Craft Show. Ocean Pathway, 9am-4pm.

Long Branch

September 4th, 2010 – 12:30 to 10PM. 2010 Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival. Jazz and Blues music fest on the Great Lawn on the Long Branch Promenade. Plus: Food, Crafts and Kids Activities.

Rooney’s Oceanfront. Enjoy the summer sun and panoramic views of the beach from their indoor and outdoor dining areas. Drink specials and live entertainment for Labor Day weekend.

Cape May

September 3rd – 6th, 2010. 14th Annual Airfest – Featuring WWII aircraft: B-24 Liberator, B-17 Flying Fortress, B-25 Mitchell, P-51Mustang and other “Flyin” aircraft. Vendors, exhibitors, music, food, and much more.

Rusty Nail presents Reggae Night: Soul Messengers on Saturday, September 4th @9pm.  Enjoy a cold beer and appetizer in their outside area complete with fire pit and cocktail service. 

Atlantic City

Friday, September 3rd and Saturday, September 4th, 2010Atlantic City Comedy Festival at Boardwalk hall.  2 Days of great comedy in Atlantic City.  See Earthquake, Mike Epps, DL Hughley and more…

Saturday, September 4th, 201030 Seconds to Mars at the House of Blues inside the Showboat Casino.

The Deck at Trump Marina. Relax outside on the beautiful bay all weekend long, with live music, an unforgettable view, where every night’s a summer party!  Live music and drink specials all weekend.

Long Beach Island

Garvey and Speed Skiff Races. Bayfront in Beach Haven @10AM on Sunday, September 5th.  These speedsters trace their origins to the NJ Coastal rum running days of prohibition. Come see them race across the bay in the Geico World Championships.

The Shell Beach Club and Tiki Bar. Two bars in one…The Shell is a casual, friendly kind of place that features the hottest bands on the island.  The Tiki Bar is a tranquil place where you can sit back and relax in a tropical vibe.  Live entertainment and drink specials all weekend.

Point Pleasant Beach

Concerts on the Beach. Jenkinson’s Inlet Beach @ 7:30pm on Monday, September 6th, 2010.

Fireworks on the Beach. Monday, September 6th, 2010 @ dusk.

Wharfside Patio Bar. Casual grill, raw bar and drink locale in the day – Tropical entertainment spot at night.  Labor Day weekend see: 3 West, Asbury Fever, Undisputed, Jaimie Trio Band, Billy Lawler Band, The Amused, Paul Cilinski,  & VanEngel Band. See show times on the Patio Bar site.

Asbury Park

First Saturday Celebration. Saturday, September 4th from 6pm to 10pm. Every first Saturday of the month the downtown hosts a celebration.  Great dining, live entertainment, and the shops stay open late.  Free parking in the Bangs Avenue Garage.

Fireworks on the beach. Sunday, September 5th @ dusk.

Langosta Lounge. Live music, tapas, sushi by the sea, and farm-to-table specials are just the beginning of what Langosta Lounge has to offer. Live music all weekend long: Saturday, September 4th @11PM – DJ Petey Green…Sunday, September 5th @1pm – Justin Dub Project…Sunday, September 5th @7pm – Sunny Daze…Monday, September 6th @7pm – Stringbean
