Memorial Day Weekend 2011 – Fun stuff at the Jersey Shore!

Here’s what’s happening at the Jersey Shore on Memorial Day Weekend 2011:


May 28th and 29th, 2011Munchmobile Hot Dog Showdown and Beerfest at Monmouth Park.  Enjoy the best hot dogs, burgers and other summer foods, while sampling some delicious craft beers.  Featuring Beach Haus Classic American Pilsner and a variety of other craft and specialty brews.   Entry into the Beer Garden is $10.  Tickets will be sold at the entrance.  Get directions and more details at the Monmouth Park events page.

Point Pleasant Beach

Friday, May 27th, 2011.  Wristband night at the boardwalk between 5pm-11pm.  Enjoy all the rides you want for $15 per person.

Frankies Bar & Grill.  Casual Restaurant/Saloon in Old-Fashioned Eclectic, Fun Atmosphere. Fresh Seafood, Hand Cut Steaks, Delicious Burgers and Sandwiches served in large portions. One of the best spots at the shore for great food and drink!

Boardwalk Bar & Grill.  Relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the boardwalk and beach! Oceanfront dining features Salads, Pastas, Ribs, Homemade Crab Cakes, Pizza, Cheese Steaks, Paninis, Wraps, Raw Bar and more… Entertainment nightly in their lounge area. Tall drinks and cold beer all the time!

Seaside Heights

Catch all the excitement and nostalgia of the most exhilarating mile of amusements at the Jersey Shore.  Multiple Amusement Piers, Waterparks, Arcades, Mini-Golf and lots more. Plenty of fun for everyone.  Get all the details at the Seaside Heights Tourism Site.

Klee’s Bar & Grill.  Casual and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy some pints of your favorite brew or one of their delicious entrees, sandwiches or “World Famous” bar pies. Live entertainment on Friday, May 27th with Jimmy Ray Band and Saturday, May 28th with Rockin’ Randy.

Long Branch

Seven President’s Oceanfront Park. Great place to swim, sun, and surf. Everything is here to enjoy a great day at the beach. Snack bar, sheltered eating areas, volleyball area, outdoor showering/changing areas, guarded swimming and designated areas for surfing. Check out the Monmouth County Park System website for hours, directions and the interesting history behind the name of this park.

Jack’s Goal Line Stand.  Great spot to watch all your favorite teams on their many flat panel TVs and enjoy the huge selection of over 30 craft beers on tap! Growlers to go til’ 2am and delicious wings, burgers, sandwiches and pizza. Located at 149 Brighton Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Long Beach Island

Joe Pop’s Shore Bar & Restaurant.  Consistently voted the #1 night spot on LBI by The Sandpiper and The Islander newspapers. Live entertainment 6 nights a week throughout the summer, featuring all of your favorite bands and DJs. Atlantic City

Sunday, May 29th, 2011. Game On! Saturday, May 28th, 2011.  Mini-Triathlon for our Veterans IV – In Memory of Matt McCulley.  Start the summer triathlon season with this  1/4 Mile Swim, 8.3 Mile Bike and 3.1 Mile Run.  All the proceeds benefit two special Veteran organizations, The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund and Sea Isle City’s VFW Post 1963.

The Ocean Drive.  A classic Jersey Shore bar, The OD has be a Jersey Shore tradition for generations with a focus on Fun, Friends and Music. Provides the best the region has to offer in live entertainment every night and drink specials all the time. Friday, May 27th through Monday, May 30th, 2011.  Wildwood International Kite Festival.  Event kicks-off on Friday night with illuminated night kite flying. Rest of the weekend features kite fighting, precision flying, kite building, flying classes and displays of unique and imaginative kites from all corners of the world.

Good Night Irene’s Brew Pub.  Over 90 Craft Beers Available on draft and bottle!  Great place to catch Phillie’s games, enjoy $1 hot dogs(during the game) and kick back a pint of delicious craft beer. Live entertainment on Friday, May 27th – Justin Steere, Saturday, May 28th – D.A.B., Sunday, May 29th – Bill Caterini and Nashville Don.

Cape May

Saturday, May 28th, 2011.  Crafts & Antiques at Memorial Day.  High quality crafts and antiques from vendors throughout the Northeast. Cape May Elementary School, 921 Lafayette St, Cape May, NJ 08204.  10am-4pm.

Cabanas Beach Bar and Grill.  Family Friendly with Open air ocean front dining. Kids under 4 always eat free. High def big screen TVs for all the sports action. Pool Tables. Reggae, Reggae, Reggae and Cold Beer!  Live bands every weekend.  Friday, May 27th –  Dan Brown Duo and The Cheaters,  Saturday, May 28th – 52 Pick Up,  Sunday, May 29th –  Blink Drunk and Star 69.
